We are having fun with Henry! Granny is visiting us for several days and he gets to go for a buggy ride everyday with his great Granny! We are getting out more with him - even if most of the time we just go to the grocery or the craft store. Martin and I are thinking of taking for an overnight visit to downtown Chicago to see how that might work with little Henry.
Other than Henry, Martin bought a motor scooter to take to the train station. It is a Honda Reflex and he loves riding it. In a strange twist, the helmet he bought is exactly like the one I had in 2001 when I bought my motorcycle. Martin says the only time it gets really windy is by the nearby little airport since there are no trees to block the wind.
We continue to wonder where the summer weather is. Even with a few so-called hot summer days nothing has been really consistent this year. My tomatoes are taking forever to ripen and the pool remains cool. I took it easy on the plants this year so the patio looks a little barren. The neighbor behnd us still amazes us with the mysterious work he does on various outdoor projects. He has pressure washed his tilted patio and was digging up dirt the other day probably in preparation to pour concrete by his downstairs back door. He has also built some sort of pen along our back fence. And to top it off he is never in his back yard for any sort of leisure activities.
I stopped by work last week with Henry so I could clean out my desk for the temp that will be taking my place and to let the ladies in the library meet Henry. There was a constant meet and greet and Henry was so well-behaved!
